Gainesville Fisher House Foundation, Inc. Non-Discrimination Policy

Whereas on the fundamental core values of the employment practices at Gainesville Fisher House Foundation, Inc. will treat all persons with respect and dignity. The Gainesville Fisher House Foundation, Inc. will value people and recognize the strength, diversity and inclusiveness in all its activities and functions with volunteers, staff and community institutions.

 

Now, therefore, be it resolved that Gainesville Fisher House Foundation, Inc. will not discriminate in the provision of services, employment practices or engagement of volunteers on the basis of: race, creed, color, age, marital status, familial status, national origin, ancestry, sex, mental retardation, mental disability, learning disability, lawful source of income, sexual orientation or physical disability, including but not limited to blindness or deafness.

 With regard to employment practices and engagement of volunteers, an agency cannot discriminate in their practices by refusing a qualified candidate for either a paid or volunteer position because of predetermined group characteristics as above.

 Implementation of this resolution will be effective immediately and will be placed in the minutes of this corporation for all to follow henceforth.

 Unanimously accepted and approved as policy by the Gainesville Fisher House Board of Directors.
